A Sweet Little Trick That Can Help You Create A Hotspot in Windows 7 or 8.
A hotspot is a physical location which are sharing an internet access over a Wlan (Wireless Local Area Network). A hotspot usually uses WiFi technology. You can use a router or a smartphone to share an internet access using WiFi, but if you don’t have these devices or are at a location without them, you can use a laptop or desktop and create a hotspot and share your internet access with friends or family. So this is how it’s done:
Open the comand promt as an administrator and type: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Hotspot key=Pctricks (you can set your own value for ssid and key). Press enter and you should now see that the hosted network has been set.
Keep the command prompt open and type in the following command: netsh wlan start hostednetwork, and press enter. You should now find the virtual adapter in Network and Sharing Center.
To be able to share your connection you need to give your hotspot access to the internet. Right click on the physical network adapter that currently has Internet access. Click on properties and open the sharing tab. Check the box next to “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection” then select the hotspot connection that was created earlier. Click OK and close the tab to save your settings. If you go back to Network and Sharing Center, you will now see that your hotspot has access to the internet and you can now start sharing your internet connection.
